Timney Alpha Competition Glock Gen 5 Red Trigger | Nordic Airguns

A Trigger That Transforms Your Glock Gen 5

The Timney Alpha Competition Series trigger for Glock Gen 5 is the single best upgrade you can make to your pistol. The red version delivers competition-ready performance with unmistakable style. Timney has built precision triggers since 1946. The Alpha Competition line marks their first entry into polymer-frame pistols, and they nailed it. This is not a minor tweak or a polished factory part. It is a complete reimagining of how a Glock trigger can perform. If you have struggled with the spongy stock Glock trigger, this is your answer.

How Timney Rewrote the Glock Trigger

The Alpha Competition uses a patented sear housing design that changes the Glock fire control system entirely. Stock Glock triggers force the trigger bar to pull the firing pin rearward against spring tension. The Alpha uses a precision-machined sear that engages the firing pin lug instead. Your trigger finger simply releases the sear when you pull. You no longer compress the firing pin spring with every shot. The result is a crisp, consistent 3-pound pull that feels identical every time. A Teflon nickel coating on the trigger bar and sear cuts friction dramatically. The feel is exceptionally smooth, and stock Glock triggers cannot match it.

The Performance Difference You Feel Immediately

Shooters who switch to the Timney report faster, more accurate shooting right away. The Alpha Competition delivers a firm, defined wall with virtually no creep. The reset is remarkably short, so you get back on target faster. One long-term reviewer hit bullseyes on demand at seven yards after installing the Timney. They could never do that consistently with the stock trigger. The take-up is short and predictable. The break is glass-rod crisp. The reset gives your finger a clear tactile signal. For USPSA, IDPA, or any action shooting sport, this trigger is a genuine competitive edge.

Drop-In Installation Without a Gunsmith

The Timney Alpha Competition installs easily with basic tools. Timney even includes the hex drivers you need in the box. Remove your slide, push out the trigger pins, and swap the factory assembly for the Alpha unit. It fits directly into your stock Glock trigger mechanism housing. The kit uses all stock Glock springs and parts. You introduce no aftermarket variables that could compromise reliability. If you can field-strip your Glock, you can install this trigger. Red Means Ready—And It Looks Good Too

The red anodized aluminum trigger shoe and safety blade look sharp, but they do more than that. They provide a wider, more comfortable surface than the stock trigger. You get better control and more consistent finger placement. This red variant fits standard-frame Glock Gen 5 pistols in 9mm and .40 S&W. That includes the G17, G19, G19X, G26, G34, G45, and even the G44 rimfire. The safety blade is wider than factory, which many shooters find more comfortable. This trigger is intended for competition use only. Install it in stock Glock pistols for optimal performance.
