ASG Barra 1866 CO2 Rifle

Authentic Wild West Experience with Modern Performance

The ASG Barra 1866 CO2 air rifle brings the spirit of the American frontier straight to your backyard. Nordic Airguns proudly offers this exceptional replica to shooters who appreciate history and quality craftsmanship. This rifle captures the essence of the iconic Winchester 1866 “Yellow Boy” with remarkable attention to detail . The classic octagonal barrel and gold-coloured receiver deliver a visual experience that transports you back to the Old West. Whether you are a history enthusiast or simply love the feel of a classic lever-action, this rifle offers an unforgettable shooting experience.

Genuine Lever-Action with Ejecting Cartridges

The Barra 1866 delivers true lever-action operation that mimics the functionality of the original firearm . You load pellets into reusable metal cartridges and thumb them into the magazine tube through the side-loading gate. After each shot, you cycle the lever to eject the spent cartridge and chamber the next round. This realistic action provides immense satisfaction with every pull of the lever . The rifle holds 10 cartridges and includes six reusable shells to get you started . This hands-on experience sets the Barra 1866 apart from conventional air rifles.

Premium Build Quality and Realistic Finish

The Barra 1866 features an almost all-metal construction that feels substantial and durable in your hands . The rifle weighs approximately 6.5 pounds and measures 38.5 inches in length, providing a solid, authentic feel . The faux wood stock looks remarkably realistic, and you will struggle to tell it from genuine timber . The heavy-duty build withstands regular use, making this rifle a lasting investment. The fit and finish demonstrate Barra’s commitment to quality, with clean lines and attention to detail throughout.

Powerful CO2 Propulsion and Versatile Ammunition Options

Two 12-gram CO2 cartridges power the Barra 1866, discreetly housed in the buttstock . This dual-cartridge system delivers consistent performance and reduces the cooling effect that can affect single-cartridge designs. The rifle achieves velocities up to 600 FPS with lightweight ammunition . The 1866 accepts .177 caliber pellets or steel BBs, depending on the barrel configuration. The smoothbore barrel handles both ammunition types, while Barra offers a rifled barrel upgrade kit for shooters who want enhanced accuracy with pellets .

Versatile Sighting Options for Every Shooter

The Barra 1866 comes equipped with flip-up iron sights that offer three elevation settings for different ranges . For shooters who prefer modern optics, a removable Picatinny rail provides the perfect mounting point for a micro red dot sight . The rear sight lacks windage adjustment, but a red dot solves this limitation while maintaining the rifle’s classic appeal . You will achieve minute-of-soda-can accuracy at 10 yards, making this rifle ideal for backyard plinking and target practice .
