Walther CP88 Nickel CO2 Air Pistol

A True German Classic in a Striking Nickel Finish

The Walther CP88 4″ nickel CO2 air pistol represents a significant milestone in airgun history, and we at Nordic Airguns are proud to offer this exceptional piece to our customers. As the very first pellet-firing CO2 pistol in the Umarex product range, the CP88 set new standards for precision, performance, and reliability that continue to influence modern airguns today . Furthermore, this high-quality, full-metal replica of the legendary Walther P88 is manufactured in Germany, ensuring the meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail that discerning shooters have come to expect . Consequently, the stunning nickel finish not only provides superior corrosion resistance but also gives this pistol a distinctive, eye-catching appearance that stands out from the crowd.

Precision Engineering for Superior Accuracy

The CP88 features a precision rifled steel barrel that delivers outstanding accuracy at ranges up to around 15 meters, making it ideal for both target shooting and recreational plinking . The innovative firing mechanism sits in the two-part slide directly in front of the barrel, rather than in the frame, ensuring reliable and consistent pellet feeding into the barrel . Moreover, the pistol uses an 8-shot rotary magazine—two of which come included—that loads easily and cycles smoothly with each shot . As a result, you can enjoy a satisfying semi-automatic shooting experience that mimics the feel of the original Walther P88.

Power and Performance Specifications

The CP88 draws its power from a standard 12-gram CO₂ capsule housed inside the grip, which provides approximately 60 shots per fill under optimal conditions . The pistol achieves muzzle velocities of up to 427 FPS (130 m/s) with .177 caliber pellets, generating energy levels below 4.0 joules . This makes it suitable for a wide range of shooting activities, including informal target practice, action shooting, and even small game hunting at close range . Additionally, the modular design allows shooters to configure the pistol for various disciplines, adding to its versatility and appeal.

Versatile Shooting Modes and User-Friendly Features

The CP88 offers both single and double-action trigger modes, allowing you to choose between a lighter, more precise trigger pull when cocked or rapid follow-up shots in double-action mode . The exposed hammer design mimics the feel of a self-cocking blowback mechanism, adding to the realistic experience . Furthermore, the manual ambidextrous safety lever provides an extra layer of protection during handling and storage . The rear sight is adjustable for windage using the included Allen key, enabling you to fine-tune your point of impact for maximum accuracy . Meanwhile, the CO₂ loading system uses a tool-free counter-lever mechanism that makes installing fresh capsules quick and straightforward .

Solid Construction and Authentic Feel

Weighing in at approximately 1030 grams and measuring 180mm in overall length, the CP88 feels substantial and well-balanced in the hand . The all-metal construction, save for the synthetic grip panels, gives this pistol a premium, durable feel that reflects its German heritage . Many owners praise its solid construction and faithful replication of the original Walther P88, noting that it offers an authentic shooting experience that few other air pistols can match . The pistol arrives in a smart, compact hard case complete with two 8-shot magazines and a rear-sight adjustment tool, ensuring you have everything you need to start shooting right away .
