Umarex Zelos PCP Rifle | 5.5mm (.22)

The Umarex Zelos is designed as a highly adjustable platform from which the utmost precision can be squeezed!

Bullpup

What immediately stands out is the “bullpup” design. Here the magazine and the beginning of the barrel are located at the back of the stock.
This makes the Zelos very compact, but it retains its full 660mm barrel length!

This gives the Umarex Zelos the power and efficiency of a full length air rifle, but in a compact package!

Adjustability

When you take the Zelos out of the box, it actually shoots super straight away!
But to get the utmost precision from your ammunition, you need the optimum speed.
This is different for every pellet/slug (a lighter pellet may go too fast, and a heavier slug not fast enough).
For this, the power of the Zelos is well adjustable thanks to the adjustable regulator and hammer spring!

Tested power

The factory specifications of the Zelos are (relatively) low at 26ft-lbs (35 joules) in .22.
In our own tests, however, we measured a power of 45 and 47 joules with standard JSB Jumbo 5,5mm and Jumbo Heavy pellets with an unadjusted Zelos straight from the box.
So the Zelos has more to offer than what is listed on the box!

The power of the Zelos can therefore be perfectly optimised for your purpose.
Whether you need a low power range to practice lead-free pest control or want to shoot max-power with heavy ammunition on the range, the Zelos can do it all!

Using the UX Zelos

Filling the Zelos is quite simple thanks to the foster quick connect on the end of the pressure tube.
Note: Your filling source does need a foster female connector.
Due to the relatively high filling pressure of 250 bar in a 255 cc cylinder, a hand pump is not recommended.

The large magazine is easy to load and slides easily into the rifle. You do need to align it properly before closing the bolt.
As with many other compressed air rifles, this magazine is self-rotating.
Loading the Zelos goes smoothly thanks to the large side lever that moves forward and backward in a straight motion.

Thanks to the barrel shroud, the Zelos is not very loud. But to make it really quiet, you can always add a silencer thanks to the 1/2unf thread on the end of the shroud.
Because the thread is on the shroud and not on the barrel, we recommend using a larger caliber suppressor.
